BCT Scholarships
BCT Skills Scholarship Application
Beaver Creek Cooperative Telephone Company maintains a scholarship fund for the benefit of its members and their families. The purpose of the Skills Scholarship is to recognize and provide financial assistance to students pursuing an education in any degree at a trade school or community college.
The Skills Scholarship is subject to the following rules and regulations:
- The eligible candidate must be a Beaver Creek Cooperative Telephone Company member or an immediate family member legally residing in the member household on the date of the initial award of scholarship.
- High school candidates must have a cumulative 2.5 ("C+") average or higher. Post high school candidates must maintain a cumulative 2.5 ("C+") average or higher. A complete transcript must be presented with the submission of this application; it does not need to be official.
- Selection of finalists will be made by a committee of BCT employees. The committee will be evaluating career goals and skills development, motivation and practical application, and essay quality. The committee will recommend finalists to the BCT Board of Directors for an interview.Finalists must be available to meet with the Board of Directors on a Saturday morning scheduled in April. Previous award winners have the option to interview via Zoom.
- Awards are payable in equal quarterly or semester increments as determined by the student's plan of study. Payment of the current portion of the scholarship will be made directly to the college upon submission of verified registration and enrolled credits at an approved school along with a transcript copy for a returning student.
- Termination of the student's school program will result in the cancellation of the award and any remaining funds will not be disbursed.
- Previous winners must complete the application based on their current year of experience. The application can be found at www.bctelco.com/scholarship.
- All required application-related materials must be received by the application deadline listed below for the application to be considered. Applications may be hand delivered, mailed or emailed.

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered for a scholarship award.
BCT Collegiate Scholarship Application Process
Beaver Creek Cooperative Telephone Company maintains a scholarship fund for the benefit of its members and their families. The purpose of the Collegiate Scholarship is to recognize and provide financial assistance to students pursuing an education in any degree at an accredited four-year college or university.
The Collegiate Scholarship is subject to the following rules and regulations:
- The eligible candidate must be a Beaver Creek Cooperative Telephone Company member or animmediate family member legally residing in the member household on the date of the initial awardof scholarship.
- High school candidates must have a cumulative 3.0 (''B") average or higher with strong performancein college preparatory coursework. College candidates must maintain a cumulative 2.5 ("C+")average or higher while carrying 12 credits. A complete transcript must be presented with thesubmission of this application; it does not need to be official.
- Selection of finalists will be made by a committee of BCT employees. The committee will beevaluating current academic achievement, goals and aspirations, extracurricular involvement, andessay quality. The committee will recommend finalists to the BCT Boad of Directors for an interview.Finalists must be available to meet with the Board of Directors on a Saturday morning scheduled inApril. Previous award winners have the option to interview via Zoom.
